Iron Cross Painting Competition to be or not to be :D

Post by Olsianon »

The Iron Cross Painting Competition
The Iron Cross Painting Competition is a contest separate from the Grand Tournament. It is geared toward showcasing the painting abilities of the Flames Of War community.

It goes without saying that the Iron Cross competition is all about painting and modelling. Participants can bring their favourite pieces and enter them in one of the event’s categories.

Unlike other similar contests, the Iron Cross Painting Competition judges each entry on its own merits, not against all of the other entries. Judges will have a strict list of things they will be looking for and each piece will be scored accordingly. Therefore it is entirely possible that if all pieces are exceptional, they will all be recognised! From these entries a single overall winner will be chosen by the judges to win the grand trophy.

The entries can be from any period in Flames Of War, and therefore can include pieces from Early, Mid or Late War, or even Vietnam.

The Categories
There are four categories into which contestants can enter their pieces: Infantry Platoon, Vehicle Platoon, Mixed Platoon, and Single Piece. Participants can enter one or more of these categories.

Infantry Platoon – This category covers platoons that include only infantry or man-packed gun teams. The platoon must be able to be fielded legally in Flames Of War.

Vehicle Platoon – This category includes platoons entirely made up of vehicles. These can be tank or transport teams, but everything in the platoon must be a vehicle.

Mixed Platoon – This category covers platoons that have a mix of teams, such as artillery platoons with infantry and gun teams, or Panzergrenadier platoons with infantry and half-tracked vehicles.

Single Piece – This category is where people can enter that one amazing model. This includes objectives, individual teams of any type, dioramas, and other similar entries.

Sad i ja pogledah galeriju.
