Group 2 Campaign Thread for Djordje, Dalibor, Bojan and Me.

I met with Djordje and Bojan at the club today and we rolled initiative dice for the first round of declarations;

My Skorne Lists for the Campaign are based around the 3 warlocks I didn't use in group 1. Weirdly I have all the Fury 7 Warlocks in this group so they are much more support based whereas the other 3 are much more 'in you face'.

I'm fairly confident in my Zaal list having played this a few times and been successful but the other two lists may need tweaking before the 6th. Especially the Mordikaar list.

The order of initiative is as follows;

1st Dalibor.
You need to declare attacks on Djordje, Bojan and me. Declare your first assault and the opponent it's against and which army and point level you are submitting.
So for example you attack the castle of keys as your objective 1 which is currently held by Everblight. This is your attack on him. You also decide to attack Djordje in the area next to Ternon Crag in anticipation of Objective 2 and Skorne to the South East to get to the Sacred Site which would boost your warchest next round. These are your declarations and you choose to attack Bojan first with a 500 pt force lead by Baldur.

2nd Djordje.
You need to declare attacks against Bojan and me.
Example again - in trying to get nearer to your objective 1 your attack me from the western front also hoping to take the breeding ground. You also go for Bojan's territory in the middle hoping to get a later strategic advantage and be closer to the Castle Keys. Given that Dalibor is playing against Bojan you choose the attack on me first and pick a Madrak list of 500 pts.

3rd Rick.
I only need to declare attacks on Bojan.
Example 3 - in a bold move I declare an attack on my objective 1 territory but will face disadvantages as it is not a adjacent territory - but knowing that Bojan can't play Everblight very well I go for it. This will be my second match if Dalibor chooses to resolve his second match with Djordje or my third match if Dalibor wants to play me second. I then face Djordje's assault. Given I want to play at 750pts not 500pts I up the value of the game. This means I lose any advantages I would have had being the defender. I pick Hexeris to tackle Djordje's Madrak list.

4th Bojan
This round Bojan is only defending territories and simply selects the list to play against Dalibor. He will do the same three times and, at least for this round, not gain any territories - but if his victory point total is the highest at the end of this round he will swap place with Dalibor and be the one choosing all 3 attacks.

This was just an example but the initiative roll is accurate so Dalibor you DO need to choose your 3 territories to attack and declare who'll you'll go for first. By the 6th we should know exactly who is playing who.

The Group 2 Campaign Map will be up mounted in Sigil this weekend so you can use it to look where to attack.

Do I have to choose different armies for different opponents? Basically, do we move our tree armies on map like in Heroes (of M&M)?

You only need to declare your first list and that is because you don't know how it will go. If you win without losing much you can buy back missing models and play the same list in your next combat. In reality I think you will end up using all 3 lists but you never know.

The reason why it'd be good to do this before the 6th is that all players need to know the following;
- Who are they playing against
- Which scenerio they are playing
- What point value are they playing
Also if you are going for an objective they have some special terrain requirements and we need to make sure that we use something.

Don't think HoMM think Risk and your armies are assigned to the territory you are attacking and your opponent has a force that is assigned to defend that area so there is no way that you will score a free territory in a round.

Ok,
Met up with Djordje at the store last night and received a solemn promise that his lists will be up in a day or two.

As I am declaring the attack on Bojan I rolled the scenerio and got Wild Fires.

I will be attacking the region on the far right to the north of my lands and using a 750pt Hexeris army as posted above. Bojan, you have the option to up it to 1000 point battle (though for the sake of a gentle 1st round I hope you don't).

OK.
It's a basic assassination scenerio - last warlock left in play wins - so basically I have to kill your warlock to win. Minimum 3 pieces of terrain and we each place 2 fire marker templates. They start as 3" AoEs and grow d3 inches per round on the maintenancephase of the player that placed them (so 2 by 2 I guess). Must be more than 2" from the deployment zone, 11" from each other yadda yadda yadda.

Basically we need to kill each other and there are 4 growing fires on the board helping us to do just that. Sounds fun!!

A couple more things. I suggest that we say that the fire pits DO NOT block line of sight and that not only do they cause a POW 12 damage roll but they also cause the Fire continuous effect. It doesn't state either of those in the scenerio but I guess we can decide. Are you ok with that Bojan?

Ok all the lists are up. Dalibor, you need to roll a dice and find which scenerio you are playing.
As you are attacking an adjacent region it's a straight dice roll.
1. Last Stand
2. Mosh Pit
3. Assassins
4. Wild Fires
5. King of the Hill
6. Killing Fields
Once you have rolled let us know the scenerio and the list AND the size of the list you will be using. Djordje then decides if he wants to up the size of the list and can tell you who he will bring. Remember in most cases these scenerios do not have round limits they continue until the scenerio is won. The objectives all do have time limits and most use "Hammertime" and so they can finish quite abruptly or go on indefinitely.

Remember you can only select units & beasts from the Kruegar list that didn't die in the fight with Djordje. If you need to hire Minions you get 20 points for each victory point spent.

Whatever we do Bojan will finish above you and thus you will not be declaring an attack on him. The good news is that because you have taken the Castle Keys territory from me Bojan can't complete the first 2 objectives in the next round as he can only declare 1 attack against you. The bad news is you're in for a some concentrated meaness over the next 2 rounds....
