After the recent success of the last tournament :? we are going to try again.
Saturday, June 27th will see a large Flames of War Promotion. Running along side that will be a Warmachine Mk2 Tournament and a Separate Hordes MK1 Tournament. The WM tournament will be a 50 point tournament and the Hordes will be 750pt. Both are 5rds caster kill scenerios. The event will begin at 11.45am.
There will be great prizes up for grabs and we have players coming from Budapest to take part. The 3 events will coincide with a large sale and promotion for all 3 games and new players or people thinking of joining are especially welcome.
Please pm me with any questions.

Do you plan to put tables in pharmacy above Sigil, because i don't think there will be enough space for everybody.

Why is ti MK2?
Problem with low attendance on last tournament wasn't MK1 but 1-1-1-1 format.
Only Dule and Moma have tried MK2 and now everybody else (well, including them) has only 3 weeks to learn new rules?
It's gonna be rules disaster.
Is it because you wanted hordes to have "independent" tournament?
5 of 18 people that were supposed to participate in league regularly play hordes.
Since you plan it to be 750 wouldn't it be better to mash everything up and hordes will have really good chance unlike in 500pts? You're dividing already small number of players into 2 groups.
Please, ask around how people feel about this.
It's not like we have 50 players so if 10 think it's a great idea we will have enough people to play decent tournament.
You have to consult community if you expect community to show up.
At least put some kind of poll.
I wouldn't be writing this if guys from Hungary haven't contacted me on PP forum (i've already contacted them about their upcoming summer tournaments about 3 weeks ago).
It would be really shitty if 4 of them come and there are maybe 4 of us.
I know how bad it feels because it happened to me at one of VtES tournaments.

Absolutely fair comment.
The main problem is that I am trying to listen to what players want. It's kind of what we do. The feedback I got is that MK2 is all that players are interested in. If this isn't true then of course we will change things.
So how about we run it this way;
I'll set up 1-2 tables for a 50pt MK2 promotion and set up 6 or more tables for a MK1 combined tournament. Momo will no doubt be playing FoW so if Knight, Shunka & Pendargon and a few others are interested in MK2 that's catered for and all others can play a MK1 750 pt tournament?
Honestly I am surprised by the MK2 buzz as the rulebooks are not even written yet and I do expect some changes to the number of points things cost.
Please EVERYONE comment if this is acceptable - this is a community and everyone's feedback is appreciated. The main thing that we all want is that the game remains healthy and popular.

I think 50 pts for mkII is a bad idea.
we are still, as Nikica pointed out, REALLY not up to the rules, and 35 points is ~ 500 points in mk I. When Moma and me played in 35, i had a list of 542, and moma was around 470 under MkI rules, and that was because i was really jack heavy.
Given the fact that only few of us ever played 750 point games, and even that not often, I would suggest that we cut down tournament format to 35 points in WM, and 500 in Hordes.
It would give smoother gameplay, smaller amount of rule glitches, fever time per game , and more time for friendly chitchat in-between.
Because, that's what it's all about... hanging around, having a relaxed time with a couple of games, not rushing frantically from table - to - table because you just finished exhausting 750 game, and another is about to start.....
(or, alternatively, like me, caster kill 2nd round, then sit bored while everyone else is playing     )
Just my 2 focus :-D
edit : just saw Ines's comment. Would prefer mkII tournament in 8 players, so that we can get more games under new trial rules, as i think it is needed. Look up for my thoughts on point allowance :-)

Well, the majority likes MK2 and would love to play that. But IMHO 50 points are a bit too much to handle with fresh/beta rules and a strict time limit for rounds. Anyway I aim for the Hordes 750 part. But a full WM/H 750 would be more preferable. Or even bring it down to 500 to have some minutes for tactics and strategy.

Is the easiest way to simply set up a Mk1 & MK2 entry list and if there is not interest for MK2 then the players can either join the MK1 tournament or wait for MK2?
I've got a decent stock of miniatures in to do a promotion with and I'm off to England on the 5th of July for a couple of weeks so I'd love to play some games prior to that. There is going to be a FoW tournament that day so why not run another tournament and have a big pre-summer holidays bash?
Often when choices are given different people sit on different sides of the fence. If we get two tournaments with 8 players it means that we each have 3 matches and there is plenty of time in a day to play 3 matches with 750 pts and it's MK2 equivalent 50 pts.
With our regular players we can easily get close enough
Hordes
1 Miroslav
2 Dejan
3 Shunka
4 Zeka
5 Djordje B.
6 Rick
7
8
Mk2 WM
1 Dule
2 Bojan
3 Steva
4 Nikica
5 Shukaku
6 Stef
7
8
And that leaves room for the guys from Budapest to join in. Also we have Pavlik, Shark and at least 2 or 3 others that could come down. Failing that have a 4 man MK2 tournament where each player plays all the other 3 players (round robin) and a larger MK1 tournament. Yes MK2 is different but not that much so. If the Hordes/MK1 tournament is more than 8 people then yes it should only be 500 pts but after the last turn out I was being cautious. We also will have Pedja and Moma playing FoW so again I was banking on a maximum of 16 players with the Budapest contingent.

Jeebus cripes... I'm collecting Legion, but have nothing painted and can maybe scrape a 500pt force, so no tournament for me if it remains at 750... anyways, this determined my foreseeable painting regime, so maybe next time.

You have 500pts with your standard army, so with simple unit of crocodiles would do a trick. They are great against living models and will give your army needed unit that it lacks, adfter all we are Legion and all power stands in our precious beasts :D

Was at game-con today in Birmingham. There were 46 players in the UK masters and some very cheesy lists (goreshade/DJ/Tartarus/Bane Knight spam, eLylyth/Archers/Striders/Raptors spam, Khador everything spam) but it was great and inspite of that I am totally charged for a tournament. I think the MK2 can be ran as a 4 man event if it is needed but unless we hit more than 16 players I think the MK1 main event can stay at 750 pts. I'll get some stopwatches from Chinatown and we play five 10 minute rounds. This means that the longest game can take 1 hour 40 minutes.
So;
Arrive and Register by 11.45am
Game 1: Noon - 1.40 pm
Game 2: 2pm - 3.40 pm
40 minute break
Game 3: 4.20 pm - 6pm
Game 4: 6.20 pm - 8pm
New players are very welcome and we really have lots of models to boost armies and not just mercenaries and minions if you're short of points. To Boltafodder - I have Raptors, a Nephilim Soldier, swordsmen and archers all available for everblight if you need anything. As I intend to play Skorne I also have an entire Cygnar army and Troll army that can be used if needed.
-It would be great to see some Novi Sad players too if they are available.
There are Schism Medals for;
Tournament Champion
Fastest Caster Kill
Best painted Warjack/Warbeast
The Mark 2 Event is a 4 man 35pt event that run along side.
Tournament Champion
Fastest Caster Kill
Best painted Warcaster or Solo
Please make the effort and support these tournaments - given the new focus of Sigil Warmachine needs its players to support it in order to compete. I spoke to some players in Birmingham and they seem keen to come out to Serbia in September for the Belgrade Open.
Please also note that we are combining this tournament with a promotion and sale of miniatures. If you are keen to start playing the game there will be staff on hand to show you how it works, and you can see models in action and then buy them at low rates.

Dibs on the Troll army!
Well, I'm very... elitistic, so I won't be playing with unpainted minis and I won't play with some of mine and some borrowed minis, however, if there is an army no one is playing with, that is certainly acceptible. I'd like to know which Troll minis are there, so that I can make an army list. PM me.

I don't really understand your point of view. You say that you neither want to borrow minis to have your army completed, yet you are ready to borrow whole army? Maybe it is me, but that seems highly illogical.

Prevod:
Covek nece da kombinuje ofarbane/neofarbane modele ili modele dva razlicita stila farbanja. Sto je skroz OK. Sa druge strane ako ima neka ofarbana vojska covek ce se rado igrati.
If you have to ask you will never understand.

basically. Brisbane feated and shot doomy to death. Mulg would have followed but there was no need. The player playing Doomy screwed up. If he cast a different spell Brisbane would have been in the charge range of Mulg and Mulg would have charged for free. As it happened it was a very quick cygnar win.
Good to watch Trolls movign like that though. Put Everblight to shame.
Oh - there were at least 5 Everblight players and all with eThaggy.

I'm in for the Warmachine tournament, and I must say I love the idea of playing MKII. The point value is not that big of a deal, but it does make sense to tone it down a bit so that we could get an easier picture of the rules.
Cheers,

As per my post on the tournament;
There is a 750pt Mk1 event for Hordes and Warmachine.
There is a 35pt Mk2 event for (obviously) Warmachine only.
Pavle it would be great if you wanted to play the MK2 event. I know you play cygnar and I have all the MK2 cards for them printed out. I also have 10 Stormblades and a Stormclad Heavy Warjack which I can highly recommend after succeeding in causing plenty of Menothy carnage with them. As I'm playing Skorne my cygnar models will be free.
Guys I know I like to people signed up but it would great to get a list going - it really helps with the organisation.

Well I hope that opponents will do the right thing and act promptly. It's never been a problem before.
Nikica - enter Mk1 if you're worried about that - but it shouldn't affect you as it's usually your bane knights that are doing the out of turn actions.

I guess it depends on lists. If anyone turns up with 2 full units of Bane Knights then we can make a ruling but they are really the only unit that causes this problem right? eGoreshade has his spell that also can cause out-of-turn actions but again it's only a specific list. There are a few solos and I guess Hexeris' feat too but I don't think anyone is playing Hexeris and solos never eat up too much time. If anyone does put together a list that could cause a problem we may have to make a ruling but I do hope it won't come to that.
Are you still talking to the Hungarians? I not heard from them for a while. I'd rather they asked me questions and not you.

He is planing to show up with 2 units of BK (don't know if they are full) so make a ruling.
I might show up with bunch of BKs, as well.
At least stop the clock for resolution of shadow shifts or something.
I've asked those questions here before they asked me on PP forums.
Your post about tournament formats (WM&H combination) was unclear and since we're not playing steamroller and some guys will play MK2, OOT had to be clarified
Note: I've given link to this thread to the Csonti (nick of one of Hungarians who are suposed to come) so they/he can ask Qs here also.

Couldn't reach Krunkova, and I believe that some people from Novi Sad will be there to see the FoW presentation.
I'm hoping (with limited optimism) that we could get a good 24 players for September but this will be a smaller affair. With the combined events we have 16 and a couple of regulars are doing FoW and a couple aren't available, so it's not a bad turn out.

I know Squires have been out of stock for a long time and I've been unable to get any. I picked two up at Birmingham and they should be painted for Saturday. Does any one want to borrow one for their list? Quite useful for Cygnar players.
